Frequently Asked Questions

The Reliquary provides the space, furnishings (including tables, chairs, and linens), staff, and bar service. Setup, decoration, event planning, vendor coordination, and cleanup are the client's responsibility (or your hired planner's). Alcohol and drink service is full services, and our staff manages that entirely.
-
Yes, you're free to choose any licensed food service provider. We do not currently provide an in-house catering option. We have worked with full-dinner-service caterers and buffet-style self service options. If your caterer doesn't handle their own cleanup, that responsibility falls to you or your guests.
-
No. All alcohol must be provided by our staff through one of our beverage packages, no outside alcohol is permitted on the premises, and none may be brought in by you, your guests, or any of your vendors. This is a strict policy under Ohio law.

Yes. Onsite parking is available for select vehicles, with plentiful street parking on the surrounding streets. We have an agreement with Chase Elementary school next door, to use their parking lots outside of school hours. Vendor and decoration access begins at 9am the day of your event. Decorations must be removed that same evening, unless you have arranged a pickup time with our staff in advance.

Confetti, glitter, rice, birdseed, fog machines, and pyrotechnics aren't permitted inside the building. Candles are fine as long as they're contained in proper globes, cylinders, or floating vessels. If you need to tape anything to the floor, only gaffer tape is allowed.

Because The Reliquary occupies a historic 1876 church building, the upstairs event space is not currently wheelchair accessible. The lower-level taproom and restrooms are fully accessible, and we'll work with you on any reasonable accommodation requests as they come up.
-
Yes, Urban Artifact's taproom operates as usual during your event, and your guests are welcome to visit for additional drinks from the cash bar. The public is not permitted entry to your reserved space upstairs. Because the building is shared, we recommend wrapping up speeches, toasts, and formal moments by 9pm for the best experience.
-
No. Gratuity for bar staff, DJ, event coordinator, and event staff isn't built into your package price, tips are welcome and can be added to your final payment.
